Gang bangers get hot too!

LAS VEGAS, N.M. (AP) – A northern New Mexico man is facing charges after he was accused of committing a cold crime on a hot day: an ice cream heist.

Wait an minute, not drugs, money, jewelry, ice cream? Was it for the gang summer outing or was he going to jack an ice cream truck too?

The Las Vegas Optic in New Mexico reports authorities say 31-year-old Paul Trujillo was arrested last week after he was one of two men who entered a walk-in freezer at a Dairy Queen store and stole 22 boxes of Dilly Bars.

Dilly bars, really? Please tell me this was planned. You know, stake the place out, getaway car, all the things a good heist needs. Oh, and a cooler for the goods.

Police say the July 29 footage shows Trujillo walking up to the freezer following a stakeout. The second man has not been identified.

So who had the stakeout, him or the cops? I’m not sure if it launches your career as a detective when you solve the ice cream caper, but nice work I guess.

Since Paul aint no snitch, the second guy may not get caught. I hope he enjoyed his sweet reward before he started his life on the run. I wonder what will make him more nervous now, seeing a police car, or ice cream truck.

Trujillo was charged with felony commercial burglary and misdemeanor larceny.

I have got to know if you get street cred in the joint for this. It is pretty hardcore shit. Stealing ice cream trumps murder in the cell block.
