Go Faq urself Colin

Nike is pulling sneakers featuring an early American flag after former NFL football player Colin Kaepernick told the company it shouldn’t sell a shoe that he and others consider offensive, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing people familiar with the matter.

You meant former football player and spokesperson that nobody gives a shit about.

Kaepernick contacted Nike officials saying he and others felt the “Betsy Ross” flag — featuring 13 stars in a circle — featured on the shoes was linked to a period of slavery, the sources told WSJ.

The Nike shoes were to be released in celebration of the July Fourth holiday. The Betsy Ross flag is one type that was flown during the American Revolution.

No, they are NOT ! They have not one thing to do with freakin slavery ! Does he even understand the meaning of the fourth ? Show me one piece of evidence that the Revolutionary War was about slavery. I’ll wait.

They actually look like nice shoes. I don’t look at them and think ” I really miss the days of slavery”. They look like they represent, oh, I don’t know, American pride.

“Nike has chosen not to release the Air Max 1 Quick Strike Fourth of July as it featured an old version of the American flag,” Nike said in a statement to CNBC.

Nike asked retailers to return the shoes after they were shipped, the WSJ reported. The company did not explain why, the report added. They are unavailable on Nike apps and websites.

Lets not honor those who fought for our freedoms, that would be offensive to some washed up football player .

Kaepernick became a polarizing figure in sports after he decided not to stand for the national anthem during a 2016 NFL preseason football game, in a protest against racial injustice. His actions have been widely defended as an exercise of his freedom of speech.

Its a problem that he has never had. You are right, it is his freedom of speech. Once again Colin, that freedom is what that flag stands for you stupid shit ! You maybe able to tell Nike not to honor our country, but you will never tell me I can’t wave the Stars and Stripes proudly.

Does this hurt your feelings?

In 2016, the superintendent of a school district in Michigan apologized after students at a predominantly white high school waved the Betsy Ross flag during a football game. The superintendent said at the time that the banner is a symbol of white supremacy for some.

NO IT ISN’T !!!!! You should NEVER stand anywhere in the United States of America and feel you have to apologize from displaying the American Flag. NEVER !!

The Governor of Arizona, Doug Ducey , fired the first shot back at Nike. Announcing in a tweet this morning the following statement.

“Words cannot express my disappointment at this terrible decision. I am embarrassed for Nike. Nike is an iconic American brand and American company. This country, our system of government and free enterprise have allowed them to prosper and flourish. “

“Instead of celebrating American history the week of our nation’s independence, Nike has apparently decided that Betsy Ross is unworthy, and has bowed to the current onslaught of political correctness and historical revisionism. It is a shameful retreat for the company. American businesses should be proud of our country’s history, not abandoning it. “

“And finally, it shouldn’t take a controversy over a shoe for our kids to know who Betsy Ross is. A founding mother. Her story should be taught in all American schools. In the meantime, it’s worth googling her.”

Nike had plans to build a plant in the city of Goodyear and receive at least 2 million in incentives. But the Governor basically gave them the finger.

Hindsight is always 20/20. You can sit there and look back at the mistakes of the past and say they were wrong. And some were. You can’t change it, you can’t make it go away. It is forever part of history.

You aren’t going to tell me I can’t wave the American flag because it offends you. Fuck you then, leave my country.

You aren’t going to tell me I have to work, to pay taxes to write check to distant relatives of slaves. My family had nothing to do with it, and news flash, the check won’t be going to anyone who actually suffered through slavery.

You aren’t going to tell me that I can’t watch these guys on tv because their car has a flag on it.

That in no way is offensive. Oh, and the Civil War happened, accept it. Just because someone flies a confederate flag doesn’t automatically make them racist.

So go fuck yourself Colin. You will never tell me I can’t display the Stars and Stripes because it offends you.
