Clarksville, Tennessee – A truck driver from Alabama was arrested by Tennessee authorities after he allegedly invited a stranded female motorist into his truck before pulling a gun and handcuffing her.

Way to give truckers a bad name Roy. This is almost the plot of a bunch of movies. Stranded woman on the highway, nice trucker comes along to help and next thing you know it is a fight for your life.

Tennessee Bureau of Investigations (TBI) said 62-year-old trucker Roy Michel Nellsch was arrested on May 22 and charged with especially aggravated assault after a “violent interaction” with a woman from Clarksville, Tennessee earlier that day.

Investigators said the woman ran out of gas on I-24 at the Tennessee-Kentucky state line, when Nellsch stopped his semi and offered to give her a ride to the next exit.

Everyone knows you are suppose to give her $20 and then start a GoFundMe.

Police allege that once inside, Nellsch pointed a gun at the woman and forced her into the sleeper of the truck.

That’s when, police say, he handcuffed her and told her he intended to rape her and keep her “for a couple of days.”

On a long run Roy? So you figured you would just kidnap a woman to keep you company? Thats what sane people do.

The woman aggressively fought back and struggled to break free from the handcuffs, officials said.

Police then allege Nellsch took out a larger firearm and struck the woman in the head with it.

So for those keeping score at home. Roy is now up to two guns and one pair of handcuffs. Totally not dangerous.

As the struggle intensified, the woman was able to fight Nellsch off and escape his truck, authorities said.

Nellsch remains in custody of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office on a $500,000 bond.

Well at least she got away. But the question remains how many others has Ol Roy attacked? I doubt this was his first kidnapping.
